A History of Tarot: Mundane, Magical, and Masonic

This presentation will look at the historical background of Tarot, its antecedents, documented

mystical use, development and use by Masonically influenced fraternities, and symbols it shares

in common with Blue Lodge Masonry.

Doug Blake has studied Tarot, Hermetic Qabalah, Magick, history, language, religion and

divination for many years. He is a Freemason, a local officer as well as national grand lodge

officer for an international religious fraternal order, and is active clergy with a Gnostic church.

Doug, who is a graphic designer, musician, vocalist and artist, currently lives between Seattle

and Tacoma, Washington.
